I've been pushing pretty hard of late. I'm currently balancing three different physical jobs, lots of admin for two businesses and a whole heap of opportunities that keep arising as I prepare myself for registering my kitchen for May. Registering my kitchen means that Winter will finally be a time where I get to share and educate on all that I'm passionate about, so watch this space as I prepare the very exciting foundations for products on my Shop and immersive Cooking Workshops!
However because of this push, I have 'burnt the candle at both ends'. Ironic, when I am so focused on living and breathing wellness (can anyone relate?). I'm not really shy of this behaviour, running on auto pilot in my early twenties seeming to be my method of madness, however as I edge towards thirty I actually cannot keep producing this same extreme rate of energy output without hitting a wall, so to speak! As much as energy levels begin to change, so do the abilities to truly learn skills in looking after yourself and making choices that serve your greater well being. I'm no master, I am learning more and more each day what feels good and what doesn't, but lately there has been so much joy in creating spaces and practices that actually fill my cup up. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be another one of those new age, Self Love ravers. It's really not my style. But I am truly finding beauty in the small things, the slow things, the quiet things and the little cups of tea I make each day to fill my cup back up and rejuvenate my body as I continually put out in order to build my dreams.
Enter, the Magic Mylk.
I really love brews. They have this quality that seems to lubricate my bones, tendons and muscles and rejuvenate my cells as I sleep. This is why I usually drink things like this at night time. However, this particular goodness can be drunk in the morning too and really kickstart your day especially if you are transitioning out of coffee.

When combined with Cacao, they become enhanced, as Cacao acts as their potentitator to last longer and give more punch. Using the Mushrooms help balance cortisol levels, Cacao helps open the heart and get the blood system moving and the Vanilla, Honey, Carob and option of Lucuma or Mesquite gives a little sweetness to the day. I just generally feel warmed up and rested when I have this. It's basically a supercharged Hot Chocolate that is not just for adults! Add more carob and less cacao and try it out with your little ones to see effects!
½ teaspoon Reishi
½ teaspoon Cordyceps
½ teaspoon Chaga
½ teaspoon of Lucuma/Mesquite
1 teaspoon of Raw Cacao Powder/ 1 teaspoon of 'A Spoonful' Vanilla (or any 'A Spoonful' Base for extra flavour and enhancing
1 teaspoon of Carob Powder
1 teaspoon of Ghee/Coconut Oil
Pinch of Vanilla Powder
Pinch of Himalayan Pink Salt
Pinch of Cardamon Powder
Pinch of Cinnamon Powder
1 cup of Almond Milk Co/ your milk of choice
1/2 cup Water
1 tablespoon of Raw Honey or your sweetener of choice
- Heat milk or tea in saucepan until hot
- Put in Mushrooms, Carob, Vanilla, Salt and extra add on
- Allow your milk to begin boiling and then turn heat down to simmer for 2-3 minutes
- Take off heat or turn heat to low and add Cacao
- Pour drink into cup and add your sweetener & Ghee/Coconut oil
